Yoga begins right where I am, not where I was yesterday or where I long to be
“Yoga begins right where I am, not where I was yesterday or where I long to be”. ✨
And here I am, questioning myself about past & future, well mainly thinking about the future to be perfectly honest...What is next in my life, how can I land into newness, forever wanting to explore & feel, what should I do to be well aligned with my dharma, my life purpose?...And, in so many ways, in this (self) inner quest, I loose my-Self....loosing contact with the present and Presence....loosing the sense of being, now, right here, in this body, on Earth. ✨
There is nothing wrong in thinking ahead, dreaming about what is next, imagining a future with ingredients we would love to taste. However, when this thinking starts to meet the edge of expectations, frustrations or fears, we may have to enquire....and personally, I have to step back & remember, once again, like we all need to do at times to feel the bigger picture, to taste what matters...And, what matters is happening, right there, right here, right now.. So, I stop, I ground myself and I pause in order to (re)connect. ✨
Gurdjieff refers to grounding as the « awareness in the living sensation of our bodies so that the 'I Am,' our real presence, can awaken ». I like those words. There is so much meaning and power in feeling «I am ». I am/we are Existence itself.... ✨
And quite suddenly, some of those past/future related anxieties or stories tend to evaporate, allowing us to meet again Breathe itself we call Life, happening in the body. ✨
On the yogic path, the invitation is to embody awakening, « I am », using the body as the vehicle, as the pathway, as the doorway...Why? Because awakening happens in Matter, in the shape of a physical body, your body, our bodies. There is nothing to transcend, no where to go, the path is through that body. Human Life and all its experiences happen in that sweet body, our body. No where else. ✨
Yoga is not a work OUT but a work IN, so let’s go IN. ✨
Who is IN? ✨
This week, we will yoga-explore going in, going out, meeting the edge...in space and inner space. What is out(side) is also in(side).
Where? At @alive_geneva (Tuesday, 18:00 & 19:15) & at @yogaflamestudio (Wednesday, 19:45). And, I would so love to see you. Mwah!🌷
