ACT

I recently taught a yoga retreat in Mauritius where our main theme for contemplation was about the notion of “Alignment” and what it could mean from a philosophical perspective but more importantly from an experiential lens. In the discussions, we touched upon the principle of Tripura, namely the combination or dance between Iccha , Jnana and Kriya ☘️.

.

The idea of this notion is that everything in Life, in each of us emerges from a deep upsurge (ICCHA) of creation (into being or existing), meaning that we cannot accomplish mindful dreams or goals if there is not inside of us this desire, this will (I also like to refer it as flame as that’s how it feels at times). ⭐️ .

Then hopefully with this creative force we recognise, we acquire knowledge and some kind of wisdom to shape our goal or vision (JNANA). In other words, we need some form of competency.

.

Finally, if we are well connected to Iccha and Jnana (meaning that we are mindful in our vision, value or dream), we move to KRIYA.

.

What is KRIYA? 🌞🌕

.

In the Tripura context this is the translation of our will (Iccha) and Jnana (knowledge) into ACTION.

.

Ultimately, the invitation is to translate any dream or vision into MATTER. Otherwise this would stay as a concept, pretty theoretical, indulged in the mind.

.

The translation into matter, into ACTION is the final step of Tripura through at times this circle is not that linear. Ultimately, Iccha, Jnana and Kriya need to dance together (whatever order or sequencing is adequate) in any creative, explorative, activist process that is also BEING into expansion. That’s just NATURE.

.

Kriya - the art of action - connects to embodiment. As human beings, we embody our dreams and our visions into matter (our body). We came through and in this Body, so we are ultimately invited (to contemplate on our capacity) to ACT. 🦋

.

Beyond the words, beyond the concepts, beyond our dreams, beyond the wisdom or knowledge, there is ACTION.

.

Tonight as I contemplate around the word in crisis, I am challenged with my own actions and my capacity to translate my values and what I know into meaningful (whatever meaningful means) actions. And, I want to align my values, my knowledge with my actions. Otherwise I would stay in the invisible realm, which is not too bad but is not too helpful through the lens of embodiment.

.

Ultimately, your actions (only) will count and remain (in this physical realm). It is not ONLY what you think, preach, or know that will change the matter or things in this reality of physicality. It is also what you DO.

.

Your ACTIONS are your words in matter, in this HERE and NOW.

.

When do you choose to act? Of course when ready. No pushing, never, just allowing, always…But, at some stage, when the process is mature for you, let your actions be your words.

.

Let your doings, your actions be your testimony. ☮️💟

.

Lovingly, yours 🌬🤍
