A call for prayer, a call for action

“We must recognize that the suffering of one person or one nation is the suffering of humanity. That the happiness of one person, or one nation is the happiness of humanity ». Dalai Lama.

More than ever, those words echo an important reminder for the collective, for us all. The individual Self, from a yogic or spiritual perspective is imbricated to the collective fabric of existence. If suffering happens somewhere on the planet, there will always a wave rippling over our lives, whether we feel it consciously or not. And same goes with joy & happiness.

Of course suffering is part of the human existence and the duality of the experience we all have as our souls meet embodiment on Earth. There is not much we can do to remove suffering but what WE CAN do is to remove the UNNECESSARY suffering, the suffering which is caused either on purpose or even not, but which could have easily been prevented.

The invitation or rather the call for action is to embody a non harming principle in our lives. For sure, we will hurt and be hurt, but could we minimize it as much as possible? That’s the action we, collectively, are pressed to take.

As we try to live a life without much harm (through our attitudes with others, our consumptions, and various choices we make), we are in parallel asked to keep our eyes open to the suffering we cannot easily control like diseases, natural disasters, etc, and also see where we can prevent suffering and lower the impact of diseases for which we have solutions, or trying to promote sustainable solutions to our living or fighting for peace, etc. ✨
This is a time where the collective Self has to be bigger. My happiness, my choices like yours are impacting everybody’s else. This is a time to move beyond the small Self.

The yoga texts refer to the concept of no harm attitude as Ahimsa, in our day to day actions and behaviors. This is not about words only which meaning can be emptied if not filled with action. ✨
The outer world will always be the mirror of the inner world...If we want to evolve in greater versions of ourselves and our societies, the journey will always start within first.

I have a dream, this dream, today! 🌈🌸✨
