Falling into Grace

« Many circumstances & experiences are capable of opening us to this grace.
.
Whether it's a beautiful moment in nature or spending time with someone we love or just sitting quietly in stillness, for some reason, a whole new perspective opens up. We find ourselves filled with grace. At other times, grace comes with a more fierce face.
.
Somehow the difficult situations in our lives have a way of opening our hearts and minds the most. We do everything we can to avoid such moments, but in reality, it is these challenging moments that often offer the greatest opportunities for growth and the transformation of consciousness. »
.
Adyashanti, Falling to Grace.
.
How beautiful. Opening to Grace? What’s that? Anugraha in Sanskrit.
.
We may all have our own definition of what it could mean to open to a moment of Grace...Grace can be such a big word, encompassing so many things, religions, emotions, states of consciousness.
.
As I carry on on my path to simplify & EMDODY some of those spiritual or yoga concepts (which risk to become too esoteric & theoretical if not embodied into an actual experience), « opening to Grace » could just BE about saying «Yes». As simple as this.
.
Yes to this moment, to this experience, even if I/we want to say no. It could also well be a « yes » to a « no ». How many times do we go through stuff we hate? Could we also say yes to those? (I know, it is easier said than to do but I guess that’s the invitation given to us).
.
Accepting this invitation without knowing where it could lead, without having an agenda or an expectation.
.
It is about showing up. Accepting to be here, even if we don’t want to, to feel what IS, right here, and not what we want to feel or do (I know, that is not easy!). It is about trying not to have any judgment of what this “IS” could mean or feel, or how it should be.
.
To make it more concrete: In a yoga asana/physical practice it is, for example, to show up on your mat and be ready to be HERE and OPEN to what will be there for us without wanting it to be “this” or “this”. It is about to be ready to the exploration in other words.
.

We cannot decide to awaken. We can only be open to it. Read this sentence few times.
.
We cannot decide to awaken. We can only be open to it.
.
Opening to Grace is not some kind of cheesy concept but among the most profound steps in a yoga practice (or any practice).
.
Opening to Grace is like Opening a door, meaningfully, as I accept to be fully in the experience of what will be behind the door...An open door to experience what we need/can receive. And I cannot decide what will be behind that door of growth, I can only be open to it.
.
Thanks for those words…As I continue to shake my own dust, i do feel immensely grateful to contemplate on this again.
.
Ready?
.
Humbly, I accept the invitation. 🤍🦋🤍
